 So now you may have decided to get an iguana and don't know what to put it in.  Well you are probably never going to find a suitable home for the creature.  You see, iguana's grow at a rapid speed, doubling in length within the first year, hitting an average length of 5 feet within the first 5 years. There is no one that can answer the question of a suitable home. There are only guidelines.  If you never plan on taking your iguana out then you must provide the largest space available.  possibly 2x its final length in all dimensions.  However, if you plan and will take your iguana out then a suitable home would be 1.5x the final length of the iguana is all dimensions.  I know that this can be costly, but the health of the iguana should come first.  (note: it is ok to put a young iguana in a smaller home. The problem is that it will cost more money when the iguana begins to grow)
