For the bottom of the cage/tank or whatever you have decided to buy you should have some sort of
substrate. Right now I'm using a product called "Repti - bark". I have heard a lot of problems with people using
products like these but so far there has yet to be a problem. You can use my choice or you can use a number of different
products such as paper towel, newspaper (with caution), or other pet store products like 'Forest floor' Now to defend why
I think the bark is ok, I have had my iguana since he was very small. I feel that he can tell the difference between
food and the substrate. However, if I got my iguana when he was much older and had never used the bark before I would
feel there is a chance he will mistake the bark for food. I hope that wasn't confusing.
